Hi Elijah, I think Pastel Partner's Project Tracker Module is what you need to look at. I can assist you with its features and the setting up.

You can download a PDF brochure of the module from the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fp0ug3770x...ectTracker.pdf

Thank you for your response, I should have been a bot more clearer. Client has 1 Main Branch and 3 smaller branches, all with different bank accounts. Has already purchased Pastel Express. Which is a better approach. One Company with all the additional Ledger a/c's applicable to branches, or setup 4 company's on Pastel, one for each branch.

Hi Elijah , both will have their pro's and cons .One company with additional accounts would be the best option in my opinion . This means only one set of books will have to be reconciled and audited , the trouble with this kind of a setup is your entry points from your different branches . You don't want to be synching data from different branches on a daily basis . There is a solution however , Using a hosted server you can install your package in the cloud and allow users from your branch's to log on remotely. This way your data is centralized and there will be no back and forth synching of data.

Then as Neville suggested , using project codes will be an advantage when it comes to reporting on your income per " Branch" how ever the Balance Sheet will be one report for all the branches and here the GL will have to be segmented.

Another thing is that you say you have Xpress, this package has a limit of 3 users , if you have 1 user per branch this will mean that you will at least need 4 users. You may want to consider upgrading your package to Partner.

We have extensive knowledge of performing such implementations, you can visit our website if you need more info.

    Hi
You can open each Branch as a seperate Company on Partner and have them Consolidated on a Consolidation Company .
Use the Consoldation Assistant on Partner to create the Consoldated Company.
Please ensure that the Chart of Accounts of the Companies (Branches) to be consolidated be identical as differences inthe :
    Account Structure
    Periods and
    Report Catergories
can cause the Trial Balance, Balancesheet on the Consolidated Company to be out of balance. On Partner you can Consoldate more than 2 Branches.
But remember that a Consoldated Company has no transaction only the Balances are Consoldated .

    Regards
