That is just it. Temporary. How can one be registered when there are no standards/requirements yet? The criteria has not been set yet. Register where? DOL? Yeah right! The existing/non-existing system does not even work. Take a look at some posts regarding DOL and registering contractors, which has been going on for years @ ECB, until now that is.

Is an electrical fence the right perimeter security solution? I have seen so many places with electric fences that are now inoperative. What are the alternatives?

These devices work well, we have them on various sites, they are great for when you are home, the main station has lights so it indicates which beam has been activated. I have a request from a customer to link them up to the alarm system, but most alarm comapanies will not link them or tell you they cant be linked. I believe it is bollocks, but will only comment once i have had a chance to try myself.
I havent commneted on this thread yet because they cant even ge tthe registration right, how on earth are they gona make more rules and regulations. Has anyone told them that with the gravy comes some work and a person with a little knowledge of a telephone and a computer. The funny part is not the DOL, it all the other idiots who actually register and keep them in bussiness, we should boycot them and nobody should register, if they cant even get the registration right how would they ever get around to taking all the contractors to court for none compliance.
We should all register with the ECB, so that we are registered at least, then let them take everyone to court for not registering with the DOL.
Some time has passed and I now believe the registration process in is full swing.
The problem is that i cannot find any useful information as to the content of the registration process.
Any help out there?

It is all a load of bull, you just need a certified letter to say that you have either 2 or 3 years experience installing them. Send that in with the forms above. No exam, no certificate, no accreditation, in fact, the guy who was drilling holes in the wall for the brackets can apply for it!
