Angry Supplier misrepresentation - what is the consumer's recourse ?

A supplier misrepresented themselves by basiclly lying to me. They promised a certain item and when tested on it I was informed by them that they do not have that service in place.
I would like to know if I as a consumer can cancel my contract with immediate effect and claim a refund for the 4 month of service not jet delivered.

I certainly would think so. The terms and conditions of the contract have not been adhered to.
