    In Andy's defence, he did ask me to look at it shortly after he'd posted it and I suggested he leave it as is.

    We're human - we all have off days - and while it was a bit more biting than usual, it wasn't... unreasonably aggressive in tone.

    I'm also delighted that it turns out Andy is as human as the rest of us. There are times when I suspect he's a clinical machine posing as a real, live person

    Yeah, I'd had a long day and already suffered a seemingly unending line of fools. As Dave said, I did have second thoughts about the reply. It was just a bit of a strange thread, almost as though there's merit in making multimeters accessible to the masses which already had me a bit off balance, I just didn't see the reason or where the value was. The technical inaccuracies and omissions....well the rest is history
