    Question Government land donations

I wonder if anybody can point me in the right direction. How can a non-profit organisation apply for a land donation from government, what is the procedure, who to contact etc.?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

I can totally see it myself.

Self-Help non-profit support agency created by myself for myself and others
Mission Statement: To improve the well being of at least one person on this planet and perhaps many more.

The non profit will provide tiles and trees to one needy home-builder in support of bringing a modern Russian baths system with sauna and steam room to the purview of South Africa. Changing one stem of well being at a time for the good of all humankind. Wonderful condom disbersing machines will be imported from Japan and a Pachinko set will adorn the Lobby to welcome the visitors with happy "Bling" "Bling" sounds as they enter the lobby.

Please let me know if you get to the bottom of it. I can think of a few genuine NPO's that wouldn't mind taking a shot if they qualify.

Hopefully cyppok's natural New Yorker's cynicism is misplaced (I wouldn't bet against it though).

I've been phoning the whole day at the department of land affairs and can't get hold of anyone, I don't thik anybody in government works. I asked the receptionist where they are, he said they must be at work be he doesn't know "maybe they don't want to pick up the phones". I've got the whole list of numbers for every single person at the department but again no answer, I think I must find a job in government where nobody gives a sh#t and nobody is accountable.

Just the other day I went to see someone at government legislator in Johannesburg CBD, guess what all the offices were empty, the person that I needed to see was having a break at 15:00 then somebody found her and she finally came. Long story short she is literally a typist, she's 31 years old and doesn't even have a degree, her salary is just under R47 000pm, now somebody explain to me how does that happen, it is a waste of tax payers money, it encourages unskilled labour, to describe it in one word: DISGRACE

It's not called the gravy train for nothing, Nickolai.

If it's a land affairs program, I regret I don't hold out much hope. That particular department is incredibly ineffective.
