Lucky the petrol price is only increasing by 93 cents tonight . I wonder how much the increase is going to be next month. I suppose someone has to pay the e-toll bill.

i would rather pay the e toll bill thro the petrol than the toll gantry's ...... not that I agree with the hike.
I support a fuel levy for toll fees acroos the board. These petrol price hikes just make an already challenging life that many of us have even more challenging..
“Cost of livin' gets so high,
Rich and poor they start to cry:
Now the weak must get strong;
They say, "Oh, what a tribulation!"

A rain is fall, but the dirt it tough;
A pot is cook, but the food no 'nough.” Bob Marley

I'm pretty sure the increase has provisions for etoll payment. Brent crude hasn't gone over the 115 dollar mark while exchange rate is the same when the last fuel hike was except then brend crude was averaging at 125 dollars a barrel, but the prices if petrol is the highest we have ever had, so I'm pretty sure all is included, they have to pay back the money and refund the 15 billion rand that the gepf paid for bonds! All government is worried about is their own arses

My prediction is there's far worse to come.
The northern hemisphere's winter is coming. Oil prices in USD tend to climb as demand increases (a clear annual cycle).
We have a number of mines at a standstill. This will put pressure on foreign earnings, affecting our balance of payments, and weakening the Rand.
Bottom line - R12 a litre and far worse is just around the corner.
Participation is voluntary.

Food prices are about to rise by as much as 50% in some cases. Reasons; food insecurity (global warming, drought, threats of land claims etc), higher demand, exchange rate and higher transport costs. The farmer's input cost is also rising due to higher energy prices.
Brace yourself!

Only the strong will survive, or be killed by the masses.
The only upside I can see to this is that the taxies will also help contribute to the countries growth. With the e-toll system they were exempt. Now if only we can get them to pay tax
peace is a state of mind
