Another dead person

Yes you will always find violence. That said why is violence on the increase? Clearly there is something wrong?

When I was little, we used to play cowboys and crooks. Everyone wanted to imitate the good guy and be the cowboys and not the crooks. In the movies the crooks always came second. There was no telly and movies did not have as much violence as is graphically shown today.

Now the bad guys win. Many computer games are about zombies, monsters or bad guys shooting at the world around them. Are kids not desensitised by violent movies, violent computer games and a generally more violent society?

Don't tell me it is nothing. Kids imitate their heroes whoever that may be, even the anti heroes.

Maybe it messes up kids more when it's drummed into them that the good guys always win and then they find out that it's rarely the case in real life, the crooks actually usually end up on top.

Nope, there is a TV show not too long ago where they took youngster that plaid video games all the time and allowed him to shoot a real gun "under supervision" at a simple target. The boy got such a scare and you could see he was just a youngster, not a mass-murderer in training. Video games does not train killers.

Respect for human life is a decision/choice...

This is how one robbery went down at the Signet Terrace here in Lenasia..Robbers entered as all other customers through the security and those release spikes for tires, when they left, they simply got out of the car, gave the security a few smacks, took the security with them, severly assualted him on their way and then threw him out of the moving car..that boomgate, with the spikes that puncture tires and the security were no deterrent. Incidentally, the same mall was robbed twice after that, possibly by the very same robbers!

Some feed back, the man was shot with his hands in the air. He did not resist in any way, he gave the keys to the hijackers, they still murdered him. Shot him twice at point blank range.

The goods news, all 3 are in custody, the last one was picked up at home, I heard he is only 16 years old. At least thats 3 less to worry about, for the next 6 months.

I was actually commenting on changing attitudes. It seems to be more acceptable now to be the the meanie or the bad guy.
