Business Ideas?

I have a passion for online business. Now that South Africa is catching up with the rest of the world regarding internet, I believe that there is big opportunities waiting for online entrepreneurs. Would anyone like to share some concepts or ideas?

Seems like online retailing is taking of in SA, just look at the recent launch of "ZANDO" they advertise all over the net, even on radio and magazines too.
The only thing that bothers me is the fact that Amazon one
of the biggest players does not make use of SA Post, we are actually the only country in the world that they refuse to use
national post office for delivery of their goods.

Shrinkage - too much stuff making it to the SA postal service and then disappearing.

I think that there is big opportunities waiting for online entrepreneurs in South Africa.. seems like a great opportunity for the business personals to get started over there u know like i have heard in the news that they are catching up the internet business as well as other business over there......
Any relating information to that please tell...

The risk in the online business is that the entry barriers are low, and in SA there is not much investment capital for new start ups, but there is still lots of potential for good ideas and good execution

Yes I believe it is true and if I was in retail I would immediately add an on-line shop. If you want to open a web shop then you can look at www.prestashop.com or bigCommerce, both are good web shops. If you are going to have a lot of items, of which the prices are going to change often then your next challenge will be to find an accounting program that integrates with your web shop (handling images, prices etc.). There will be a lot of other challenges like - finding wholesalers - delivering your product etc.
