I used to have the same sentiments about Durban until I settled here more than 20 years ago. Cape Town is magic, but when I had the chance to go back, I just could not swop the Durban winters for the rain and cold in the Cape. I've often wondered about what it would have been like growing up in Durbs near a beach and the ocean. I do envy you guys. The environmental setting must do wonders for your peace of mind.
