Why do we do it?
Because our thought processes are interlinked with our memories, our motor memories and our spacial maps - we commonly call it body language (its not limited to how we sit and our expressions) Watch a child get angry and throw a tantrum or somebody ttapping to a beat without being aware that they are doing so. . This is exactly why we talk with our hands. You sometimes see people talking on a cell phone in a car gesturing wildly as if they could be seen by the person on the other side. The theory is simply that we think better when we move - why - because it comes naturally.
