    no share certificate, no claim?

Hi all. Could someone please help share their knowledge of shares and share certificates with me. I have been involved with a company that "allocated"shares to me when i joined. I unfortunately did not keep a copy of my share certificate. The other partners and myself had a fallout and i left the company. I am weary of of soliciting any legal assistance to claim (financially) what is due to me from the company as i feel that without the share certificate i have nothing to prove that i have shares.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Approach the company's auditors. They might have processed the share transactions or kept copies of shareholder certificates.

Ultimately, you're supposed to get the original certificate.
