    Easyfile ver 6.0.2 not working

Is anyone out there maybe experiencing the same? I have updated to ver 6.0.2 this morning. After logging back in the screen is just greyed out. i cannot get into the program and cannot click on anything.

Calling the SARS helpdesk is a waste of time. They just escalated the problem to the technical department and now I have to wait. The consultant could not confirm whether the technical department will get back to me before the deadline of the 31st!

Did anyone experience the same problem and does anybody by any chance have a solution to this please?
    Thanks

How frustrating! I am not experiencing the same problems as other people on the site (see http://www.theforumsa.co.za/forums/s...working/page11), but am as frustrated. Can log in and do most of the functionality, but struggling with:
    1. Loading code 4141 (UIF) onto an IT3(b) - tells me cannot do unless UIF ref no loaded for the employer, which is of course loaded
    2. Have saved certificate, done declaration, put in a reason for the difference, clicked "Ready to File" - tells me I can go submit
    3. Under submit, cannot view or submit - it just does nothing.

Don't understand why SARS has to keep fiddling with & breaking this application. It worked fine in August...

Have you checked out the anti-virus issues mentioned here?

Yes, even checked that I'm running the correct versions of Java, Adobe etc...still no luck. And the call centre isn't much of a help either. Been on the phone with them for the biggest part of the day and nobody seems to know what is causing it

Two possibilities I've tripped over that produces this sort of (non) result.
    Did you run as administrator?

I also suggest keep it simple as to where you save the generated certificates. I tried saving them on another PC over the LAN and the program just did nothing. Saved to a folder in the my documents area and bingo - all went to plan.

    I got it to work!!!

Decided to try use another computer in the house. Also Windows 7, but AV is Kaspersky instead of McAfee Enterprise which is on my work laptop. Also far less software installed than on my work laptop. Everything worked like a breeze, no problems. The software behaved completely differently on this computer than it did on my laptop, and I could view the PDFs and do the submission to SARS.

I just joined to help a friend with Easyfile 6.0.2. She tried to install, but after downloading, the install did not complete. She has AVG 2011 which I have asked her to disable, and then to try again. Any other suggestions apart from trying another pc?

    Easy file not loading

I found the answer to my friend's problem.
I managed to install the program on another PC without hassle.
I uninstalled the Java update, no change.
    I uninstalled Java, no change.
I uninstalled Adobe Air, and that allowed Easy File to load, of course updating all the rest.

So maybe it's an Adobe Air version issue

I tell you what, sometimes there sure are some confusing Adobe Air update messages along the way with an E@syfile update. Pick the wrong update yes/no options along the way and I could easily see things going horribly wrong.
