KICS Transunion Credit report not reflecting directors as per CoR39 from CIPC

    Hi,

I have a client that is attempting to obtain finance from Wesbank.

Wesbank uses the "KICS Transunion Credit report" to confirm and validate information on a prospective client. (Other than the report that Wesbank forwarded to me, I was not familiar with this report, so I went to their website and saw that TransUnion South Africa provides such services. I am not sure what the KICS is for - I googled "KICS Transunion" and the search results shows that "Kics"is the surname of an USA TransUnion employee - so maybe this report is named after him.)

Now, the report that Wesbank is using is not reflecting the director as per the Certificate of Director Amendments (CoR39). Wesbank is looking for clarification for why this is the case, but I don't know? Has anyone else had a similar situation?

Check the company's details on the CIPC website. That's where Transunion should be getting their information from.

If the director isn't on there, you know where the problem comes from. If the director is listed on the CIPC record, ask Transunion to update their info.

I agree with Dave. You could also try the CIPC call centre 086 100 2472. This could be a bit frustrating and time consuming, but they should be able to validate the directors information for you. Good Luck

Thank you for your responses. I have spoken to someone at TransUnion and faxed a request through for them to update their database. Still waiting for confirmation from them.
