    All they did was supply a product/service for which they're fairly entitled to be paid, surely.

    The franchisor would be a member of FASA. you should approach the franchisor. franchisors normally don't want their businesses closed and/or lose good sites. they have leverages with landlords, have prospective franchisees in their books. Am not sure if the franchisor also wants out of this site? if there is anybody that should be helping you here, it is the franchisor. Would you mind telling us what the franchise is?
