    website hosting

just received my website hosting renewal...jumped from R79 to R300 for the year.

i have a 3 page website in 2 colour...i dont add anything...just have it with some info...for customers who ask if i have a website.

i have no idea what it should cost...but at R79 it wasnt an issue but now that it has jumped to R300 i am wondering if i actually need one.

Depends on what you're getting, but even if it's pretty basic R300 per year is far from outrageous.

mmm, I could host it for free for you, if you just pay the R100 yearly domain renewal.

i was thinking it is time to inprove my website...but when i consider...the only responses i get to my website are people looking for work..i get calls on a reguler basis all hours of the night from people asking for a job...telling me they are qualified electricians...when i ask what qualification they have...always the same thing...ntc level 3-6...when i ask what experience...none...but they insist they are qualified to work as electricians.

    Hi Murdock,

Perhaps you were party to a special offer for a year or two at R79/year?

I know we charge R60 per month for hosting regardless of the size of the website, so as Dave says, R300 per year is really not much at all.

If you would like some help with improving your website a bit, let me know - I'm sure we could do a simple yet elegant redesign for you. I might be able to offer some guidance on bringing in some decent leads from your website. It doesn't only have to be people enquiring about employment.

Murdoch. I would go with Rudi's offer. He's a serious host (seen him around on another forum), and he'll help you. Save some cash. Go for it.
