    Latest Phishing scam

    Whether you trade or do internet banking, you need to be wide awake at all times. You will NEVER win a lotto you have not entered and you should NEVER pay any admin fees to receive a payout of any kind.

    In the latest scam, the scammers want to create the illusion that an amount has been transferred to your account. Of course you will be curious to see who paid this unexpected amount. They use the name inContact@fnb so that it appears to have been sent by FNB. If you mouse over the e-mail address, you will see that it is really a telkom account. DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT! This is what it looks like;

    Now what bugs me is that we have the scammer's email addresses which is a telkom account. So Telkom must have their information. Why do they not get caught?

    Valid point Blurock. I think this is one for crime line or crime intelligence. They should be proactive in such matters. I'm confident when they raid such a person's residential address, they'll find the usuall: several police uniforms, several id's and id making machines and loads of money..
