Blogging Site. When does it qualify as a business?

Good day, i run a website (www.fortressofsolitude.co.za). I'm not sure whether or not I should register it as a business or not. Our views are starting to pick up - (around 10 000 unique views this month already) and I'm wondering what is the process regarding online websites in terms of registering as a business. We haven't made much money yet through the google ads as yet (like R150 or something). But at what point do I have to fill out tax forms, etc? Any help would be appreciated.

    That's a fairly polished site, although I'm not sure it's a blog...

Along similar lines to your question, a while ago I asked when one should declare income from a hobby for tax purposes if you happen to make some money out of it. I've yet to get a clear answer.

Hopefully someone can steer us in the right direction.

I certainly wouldn't worry about registering it as a business at this point, though.

Have you got your first Google cheque yet?

Well, when the happy day comes, make sure you check out about foreign draft deposit fees before you deposit the cheque. Deposit the cheque at the wrong bank and you could be in for a shock.
