The World is truly a Global Village!

Thanks to technology such as TeamViewer and my Google-friendly website, I have just landed one of my single biggest Pastel software orders and ongoing support client, based in the UAE!

The client is a company based in the UAE and run by South Africans who have chosen to move from their inherited accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics) to a home-grown South African system, and supported by a South African.

They have ordered Pastel Partner, with various add-on modules, including multi-user licences, Pastel Payroll, ACT (a CRM system), Evolution's Fixed Assets system, together with Pastel Cover and one of my Support Bundles.

I have been tasked to migrate all their data from their existing system to the new system, design customised reports, train their staff and provide ongoing support - all without leaving the comfort of my home (or wherever I find my laptop)!

The money has been deposited into my bank account, so all is good so far!

I'm happy for you Neville, I remember a fair while ago you were working toward operating entirely remotely from the customers, sounds like this would be a big step toward achieving your goal.

    Neville,
A good consultant "needs" to meet the client face to face! Especially if they pay the travelling.
Congrats and let us know what the Middle East is like.

    Congratulations, Neville.

I've just started using Teamviewer myself to remote into my office PC and I have to say it really does change the game.

I take it you have checked some of Curruthers seminars on line with the question and answer scenario, now is your opportunity to do the teaching thing the same way
