how do you go about finding someone?

a person was supose to report for duty tonight (back from 2 weeks leave)...this person is normally always on time...and has not arrived ...made sum calls and found that this person has been missing for about a week...tried their number but the message box indicates that it is full...

is there a standard proceedure?
