    energy saving and electronics

how much more energy do you have to consume to allow for the distortion in a system...this is the big question.

so you install 5 million energy saving bulbs in a suburb...what about all the distortion and other issues it creates...has anyone taken this into consideration or are we be blinded by the fact that you are saving electricity...are you?

sounds like a toyota prius saving the enviroment and all...but when you hear what involved in making a prius...it makes you wonder.

or another example is plastic water bottles...i havent done any research but i heard that it takes something like 16 litres of water to make a plastic bottle to stroe 1 litres of water.

When you say 'distortion' are you talking about the real environmental cost of those energy saving measures?
