    Help EMP201

    Hi,

I urgently need help, one of our clients was recently requested by sars to update their emp 201 which was outstanding from 2007. We took over but the client is unable to give any info on the salaries that was paid for the periods. They did make payments to sars for the outstanding periods but no returns were issued. Is there someone with a similar situation that can give some advice?

    Thanks,

    Frank

Are annual figures available? You might be able to extrapolate backwards from that.

Technically the records are supposed to be kept for at least 5 years. If there is a valid reason as to why the records are no longer available, SARS might accept estimated figures.
