teco...i did this to a old van...just becareful of the restore cost...especially if the vehicle is not a vintage/classic...and if you dont have all the machines to make part it gets expensive...motor bike...i am partially disable from motor bike accidents and suffer in winter from all the broken bits and pices and metal pins...but like someone else mentioned... only once you have ridden a motor cycle will you ever understand why a dog always drives with it head out the window...watch top gear vietnam...and you will see even jeremy clarkson mouns like a bitch until he realises why people who ride bikes even though it so risky...do.

andy...do ride a superbike or harley?

It was a KX250 Holly cow did that thing have power. Jip I came ride I flew and dived and today "a very long time after that" my back is killing me and my knee will never be the same. That said I have a love for VW and the Passat is mechanically easy to fix most VW Golf parts and Audi parts works just fine. What I like it is a big car so you can take whatever you need and still be able to sleep in the back without a problem.

I plan to do all my work myself so it will take some time but it will get done.

Hmmm...dunno so much about rather smoking than drinking..I smoked for about 20 years and stopped in 1995. I will never smoke again because my chest was always sore and everything smelled like an old ashtray. Another thing is that you can hardly taste food and people that don't smoke detest the way you smell. On the other hand, if I have 6 beers I wake up feeling fine, I don't have a headache, I don't smell like an ashtray I my chest doesn't hurt. So no, I'll far rather have a couple of shots than permanently smell like an ashtray.

Yeah you're quite right. I think part of the problem is that I overcame the addiction and I know that it takes nothing more than willpower. Yes I know its not easy but it can be done. I'm not saying that drinking is better than smoking, hell no, anything done excessively is problematic, but if I were to choose between having a couple of beers or having a couple of cigarrettes, I'll rather go for the beer.
