Workmans Comp & SIRA (Help Needed)

    Good day,

I need advice from someone that understand SIRA.

I have a client with approximately 700 guards. Workmans comp is tearing them a new one at more than 4% per month.

I have heard that some security companies join a union and effectively their guards become indipendent contractors.

I am going to be honest and say I am out of my League and my CA has no idea either.

We need to comply with the law, but I also need to look at what other security companies are doing

Is anyone on the forum a specialist or know of someone that can assist?

    Regards,
    Marius du Plessis

    Ouch!

I suppose the security guards for low risk sites get lumped together with high-risk / expensive-claims-when-things-go-wrong cash in transit security guards
