Google for Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate it is not expensive and it works! OR Google for "Handbrake" Video Converter it is a bit slower but it works fine and the last time I checked it is free.

Awful battery life, very small resolution screen....why would you want to even try to watch movies on an iphone. I've also never seen an iphone with a DVD optical drive so you couldn't watch DVD movies, only DVDRips or encodes.

I own an IPod touch 16 GB and never ever had a problem watching anything on it. I rip my DVD's myself and always make sure the quality is high. Battery is not a real problem unless you wish to watch lord of the rings all night long back to back. " then you are just creepy..."

I've haven't seen a 16 gig touch for years, only the 8 and 32 gig. I don't see the attraction of watching a movie on a screen less than 2 1/2 inches across, surely you'd be better using your pc and standard lcd monitor. I'm not saying it can't be done I just think such a small screen makes the whole movie experiance hard work. If you add to that Apple products only handle limited audio and video codec outputs and limited container format options it becomes way too much trouble for limited return for my liking.

my 16Gb was the first to hit the store when they got released into SA but yea you don't see many of them around and I thought the 8Gb would die out... funny that... It is useful when you do a lot of IT work in a cooled room and all you got is your IPod. Customers don't like it if you use their stuff to play movies or music and the company notebook was not to be used for personal stuff.

So while spending hours on restoring backup on a server I could watch my movies, listen to music all without touching their stuff.
