    Companies merge

    I noticed in the sparks magazine that crabtree and aberdare cables have now merged...do you think this is gona benefit the contractor and create more competitive pricing...

    clipsal merged with shnieder...is the market place becoming more competetive so they need to merge...to survive or are they just trying to dominate the market place and eventually fix prices?

    The mergers I have seen recently have been to leverage the synergies between the parties to get a bigger slice of the market. The thing is once this happens the consumer only reaps the benefits for a limited amount of time...

    Just me 2c
