    E@syfile Transfer question

I am hoping someone on the forum is able to advise.

I am taking over the payroll and submissions of EMP 501 & 201's from another accounting firm and will be doing the 201108 emp501 submissions.

How does it work in terms of populating my E@syfile with clients information that is currently on someone else's e@syfile? Is it like efiling ?

My first thought was they should back up their database and send that to you. You would then use the restore/merge facility under utilities.

However, the backup is for all the companies that is loaded on that E@syfile installation - so I guess that would be a problem.

How about the import/export payroll file functionality? I haven't used it myself, but if it allows you to select particular companies, that might do the trick.

Thanks Dave, that does appear to be the best solution. I'll add a blow by blow how-to on this post when I've got it waxed.
