this is a brilliant opituniity...for you to vent frustration and anger...join the strikes...make sure you wear a scarf over you nose and bottom part of your face so you dont get caught on cctv...take a stick the bigger the better find out where they are marching and enjoy the day...just smashing and breaking everything in sight...like they say if you caught beat them join them...you will be paying for the repairs and damages so why not join them...release the anger...

pity we couldnt organise like a rival team and clash...much like we use to play as kids...remeber open gates...this is as exciting as playing paint ball games with live rounds and bullet proof jackets .

Really burnt my *ss watching footage of the looting of street vendors by the municipal strikers on the news this morning. I'm sure shops may not be fans of street vendors, but at least these are folk who are trying to entrepreneur themselves out of poverty. To watch people with secure jobs robbing them... really painful.

like my wife says which rings true now!

We should also all go on strike just because everyone else is striking!

What a day, I am really trying to stay away from my pc on weekends but just had to post this.

My sister just had a baby this week and the little girl is 4 days today. She is staying with us for 2 weeks before going home just to help her out.

This morning at 01h00 we had no electricity. Called the council hotline and logged a call.

Now at 05h00 still no electricity and now we are using a gas heater to keep the babies room warm which is not healthy at all for such a young baby and I also have 2 aquariums with some special fish where the filtration has been switched off and the heaters with the temperatures dropping quickly.

Call them again to find out whats happening and the reply goes as follows,

The council workers are on strike so we don't know when the power will be restored or if they have switched it off!!!!!!!!!

I dont think I need to tell you what my feelings where

We only got electricity back at 14h00.

Now I am looking at getting a generator installed!
