    COC for new business

this was a first...i had a call from a customer requesting a COC for their house because they are converting parts of the house into a B&B and according to a request by the council...they are required to have a COC done for the house as part of the documents required to get a license.

That makes sense. Of course they should have a COC anyway given the alterations...

Thinking about it, getting a licence for a B&B should involve quite a few requirements - kitchen, ablution, sanitation, fire issues should all be looked at. Why not make sure the electrical wiring is up to code too?

you just got no idea what a mission it is to get a B&B license...health inspectors fire inspectors...electrical inspectors...parking signs...emergency lighting...fire alarms etc etc etc etc.

but you can live in filth and poverty 100 metres down the road...dump your rubbish on the side of the road...urinate on the side of the building...hang your used condoms in the trees...that cool because you arent running a B&B...you are just a slum lord connected in the right places.
