Hi I am presently rewiring some blow moulding machines as well as other machines and I am having to do the diagrams and documentation is there anyone out there who could tell me of a easy, efficient and understandable (not gobbledy gook) electrical software programme to do circuit diagrams power and controll I would be grateful thanks Mike.
Mike, I would personally use gschem which is part of the gEDA suite. This is a full fledged, open source (free), schematic capture programme for electronic design (what I use for all the products I design). It is designed for Linux, but possible to run on Windows (with a slightly complicated set up).
You would have to draw all your symbols, but once that is done the process should be relatively straight forward.
If you want to install it on Windows then download and install Cygwin, and following the instructions here.
Obviously you could also buy an expensive CAD or EDA package....
This might not be the best solution, just the one that I know - there may be far better packages for drawing machine wiring diagrams.
