Fact: 12 kw 3 phase Sunsynk inverters are supplied with a built in neutral bond relay and there fore CN2: terminal 5 and 6 is no longer used (they are reserved as per the latest user manual released 8/05/2024 V.38)
All 3 phase Sunsynk inverters are supplied with a built in relay.
No external neutral/earth bond is required and it would not be advisable to do a permanent bond.
The user manual supplied with the new 12 kw 3 phase inverters in June 2024 are old and information in the manual is incorrect. (version 5.0 (05/20/2021) .
If you attempt to start the unit using batteries only, you could find that you sit with a fault (F18), the manual solution is to restart, you going to be doing this a few time before you realize it is a firmware issue. When it does start you will notice strange things happening, batteries charging discharging etc.
Rather use the grid to startup, then you wont get the fault, link to the dongle, request a firmware update and bingo problem solved.
Then do the online battery firmware update and check that all the batteries are linked and online, if not factory reset, make sure all your cables are connected correctly, data and power.
We only install 5.1 kwh Sunsynk batteries, I dont have to deal with customers complaining about all these other batteries or sit on support groups listening to all the issues with other batteries or driving to site to do firmware upgrades or having and deal with battery suppliers who dont bother to reply to emails.
I plug the battery in, makes sure the batteries are connected right, switch on the master first them slave 1, then slave 2 etc, a quick online firmware update and 3 years later they still working, I can view all the data right to cell level from my phone or laptop. Check how cycles they have done and anything else I need to know.
They are ip65 rated, so we dont have humidity issues along the coast, if they catch on fore they are sealed in a metal enclosure with the terminals at the bottom, it just makes sense to use them.
I am busy designing a strong aluminum a rack mount for them, which will hold up to 4 batteries on wheels.
