I want to know how long that rental is and what the payout at the end if there is one. 180k install at 1700 is 10 years.

That does not include the interest, which I am sure will be part of the equation

These types of deals are not financed by the supplier. They are usually done with a finance house or bank, in which the installer acts as the agent in the deal. Once the customer is vetted, then the installer does the installation gets paid and moves on. The catch here is that the financing enterprise must have guarantees from the supplier/installer that the equipment is as per specification, and has then ability to provide the necessary warranty/guarantees as required for the period of the lease.

IF they can do an installation at R180k , compared to my price of R255, apples for apples. Someone is going to get the short end of the stick or I am getitng ripped by my supplier.

Got a price increase this week of R3000 on one item, I need to find out where the bank approved installers are buying their inverters/batteries and panels.

I went to the far east mall today, pricing for hooks and rails are just a little short of double the price I am paying. They are were prepared to talk price, my supplier doesnt have stock, they have tons of the stuff.

I happened to hear at a supplier this last week, a customer was enquiring about rails and hooks. The supplier would only supply rails and hooks together with the panels. They will not sell them seperately.

I am considering investing a lot of money into stock piling equipment. I know what is required to do a complete installation and I have a lot of projects lined up for the next few months. Stock is the only thing that is slowing us down.

There is 2 things that control the price structure, exchange rate and stock, I make sure when the price is right and the suppliers get stock I buy 10X of everything if they have enough and plan to increase that to 20 X sooner than later.

I am just going t ohave to watch the load shedding schedules, load eases the demand for solar reduces, as soon as the load shedding stages increases, the prices increase and the stock becomes an issue.

People are making a LOT of money, stage 5-6 just opens the flood gates.

I am going to hold back on the 20 X orders until I see the load shedding bumped up to stage 5/6. The bad news I heard today was that load shedding has dropped to stage 1, it is just a matter of days and we will be back at stage 5 and the orders will pick up again.
