Talk about getting 4 knuckled without vaseline, thats pretty much how it must feel for the public at the moment.
I quoted for a job a week ago, the price per meter for 10 mm twin+e went up in one week by R16.00 per metre, thats R1600 more for a 100 metres coil.
I am not even going to go into the solar price increases, we all know everyone is getting ......... let me rather not say it (Dave might have to give me a warning). To give you an example, 1 item has gone up R3000 since Manday last week.
I suppose if you charging R180 000 for an installation, whats another R10 000.
I am learning fast, when I source parts that I use a lot, I buy up all the stock.
It is going to make my pricing way more compentative as the prices just keep climbing.
It it wasnt for the bank throwing billions at the solar industry, putting people in huge debt for something that is going to take years to pay off , then have to take another loan to buy replace everything, it is actually rather clever the way this is playing out.
I need to get smart and find a couple rich people with more money than they know what to do with, right now I would be buying container loads of solar panels, there is such a shortage that we only expect delivery end of may early june and that is if you have already paid already.
Everyday I think it might ease a little, the electricity deprtment blow up another cable or mini sub, man its is good for business at the moment.
