    Insurance cover

This is the part I dont get, its called getting ripped off by your insurance company.

My driveway was installed by a company contracted by the builder who had got all the plans passed, the building inspector checked and passed the house and issued a fit to inhabit notice.

A couple years later we have hectic rain and the imagine that, my driveway looks just like every other road in SA, full of potholes. the insurance company sends someone to check and I am told the driveway is not covered because the layer of tar is thinner than the required thickness. REALLY!!!

There is a whole lot of fear mongering in solar industry at the moment, people posting pics of roofs on fire warning that your roof is going to burst into flames if you dont get the job done by an electrical contractor, yet most electrical contractors has less experience than the DIY guy doing his own solar installation.

A warning from the insurance companies threating they will not be liable for defective workmanship, really. You need to change insurance companies sooner than later.

Check all the clauses, its amazing how they dont have an issue taking your money, yet put in a claim and they have vultures at your door checking everything to find a way to get out of paying.

Today I will be contacting my insurance to request they send someone to check my house and identify anything which might not be covered because of some clause.

I want to know things like the wall built by the neighbor who has no plans, what happens it the wall falls down, will my policy cover it damages my vehicle for example which parks close to the wall.

They take my money every month, without sending an assessor, surely I can request a property audit to see what the premium is covering?

By the way this roof doesnt even have solar panels, if you posting click bait for solar systems, at least have a pic of a roof with solar panels on fire.

If this was such a big problem why dont we see it on main stream media?

“Most of the insurance policies out there will say that they aren’t liable for defective workmanship. They are not going to be liable if your roof falls in if it wasn’t properly built.”
