When checking with a polarity tester for an inverter when switched on, the tester changes from live to neutral and neutral becomes live!!! sometimes the earth leakage trips
Can the inverter be wired wrong?
YOu mean it didnt have an earth to neutral bond when in islanding mode?
What happens is the inverter voltage will be about 125 VAC L-E and about 80 VAC N-E, as soon as you bond the neutral to earth the voltage will be 230VAC L-N...230 VAC L-E and around 500mVAC N-E.
