    Current carrying capacity

    Hello again.

So I have been toying with the idea of using Catyre to supply a small inveter but with the caveat of using a 5 core so that I can have the feed to inverter as well as feed from inveter in the same cable run.
What would the CCC be ? Would I use the single phase mVAm or the 3 phase ?

Reason this came up is to have one neat cable to the inveter instead of 2.

Its just an idea and want to explore it.

I have seen many installations use the a 4 wire cable with earth as a supply to and from the inverter to the Solar DB board.
I do not know if this is an acceptable practice. One of our resident electricians should be able to shed some light on this one.

Cable is rated for the maximum power the system will provide.

Oh cool! And ya wondering what it would be.
In my mind i would use worse case of CCC but then it does not seem to feasible then fot the systems, so you saying you have seen some makes me think to use the single phase CCC. But very keen to try get all the info as will make it easier for future installs when miss Jones don't want two cables or conduit but also just curouse and learning.
