I have recently had to COC a socket outlet circuit in an existing installation. (The current one is a single 32A single phase industrial socket). This socket is the backup to server equipment via a UPS feed via a 20A 5KA S/P C/B. The problem I have is that the KA test and earth loop impedence test cannot be performed because it is fed from a UPS.
How do you complete the COC in these circumstances.
Yes I thought of that but the feed DB to the socket outlet is in a server / control room and is part of a large refinery. The DB (floor to ceiling 6 door cabinet) supply comes from another location where the UPS is. The whole DB is on UPS and as you can imagine there is no chance of them switching the main UPS on bypass so the test can be performed.
