With our local power problem, I am not sure anyone will buy the induction lamps as they draw too much electricity.

Induction lighting is actually pretty efficient, it's high capital outlay but the lamps last longer. It can play havoc with RF comms systems so it was never very fashionable and nowadays even less so with the mercury disposal problem.

Actually induction lamps is still widely applied in different kinds of projects suas as industry, commercial application, street lighting, parkings lots ,garage, also Induction lamps is not only effiecient but also the price is cheaper than LED ,LED is good ,but too much competition leads to different prices .

If anyone interested in induction lamps, welcome to our website www.ynllighing.com or email info@ynllighting.com ,thanks!

Ok I have learn't something here.

Did a bit of digging and found this

                    Advantages of LED Lights

No hazardous materials. An LED light contains no mercury, which is a toxic substance for humans and animals alike.
Can be used in cold environments.
Produces no UV light. Over time, UV light can cause damage to products; for instance, under a UV light, plastic becomes yellow and brittle.
Extremely long lifespan. A single LED bulb may burn for 50,000 hours or more.
                    LED lights can be dimmed.
LED lights can also be directed – their light beams may be focused to provide flood lighting or more laser-like focused lighting.

                    Disadvantages of LED Lights

Color matching can be challenging. Many LED lights emit a slightly bluish light, although advancements in technology have alleviated this problem in higher-end flashlights.
High upfront cost. As LED technology develops, this downside is disappearing.

                    Advantages of Induction Lighting

Even longer lifespan than LED lights. Some induction bulbs can last for 100,000 hours.
                    More consistency with color matching.
High efficiency. Induction bulbs are usually more efficient than LED lights.

                    Disadvantages of Induction Lighting

Doesn’t operate well in cold conditions. An induction bulb requires time to warm up when operating in cold conditions.
Hazardous materials mean induction bulbs must be recycled separately. Mercury is an extremely dangerous material.
They create high amounts of electrical radiation, which may explain why people sometimes complain of headaches after working around an induction bulb.
                    Induction bulbs cannot be dimmed.
Induction light cannot be focused; it can only provide flood lighting.
Produces UV light that can harm products.
I read on yy7169 - web page that they achieve 95 Lumens per watt with induction lighting, currently with a CREE LED I can achieve 120 Lumens per watt, so effectively LED has a better efficiency, and another advantage no one mentions about LED's is that you don't get insects being attracted to it, because it has no infra red in it as opposed to incandescent and flourescent lights.
Victor - Knowledge is a blessing or a curse, your current circumstances make you decide!

Yeah,LED is better lumen, but the end-users should normally consider the whole system(include effiency, financial plan, longer life, free maintenance),Currently cash is so limited for all end-users and government,so if induction lamp not only reach longer life and energy-saving,also no too much money and short payback period,it should own their marketing.More finished projects already proved this.
