The reason why I stay away from Capitec and Africa Bank is they started out their business as loan sharks and are now doing in the smaller loan sharks. They are so corrupt. If you want the case details I have at the moment at Capitec Bank you are welcome to them. They are unethical in all ways.

my question today is how did standard bank win the best customer services award?

i thought i was the only person with issues with them...but have noticed since there are lots of people unhappy with their "customer services" ever since they put managers in place who dont actually have any authourity to do anything anymore...just PR fronts...we have all just become numbers in a money generating system.

i have noticed i am not the only person who has lost the cheque clearance facility...how you will be able to "manage" your account if you have customers paying with cheques especially if they do so on the 30 and the cheque takes 10 days to clear

I just got charged R60 for a bounced cheque of R129. So now it is EFT cash or card. Banks are making payment by cheque impractical.
Only stress when you can change the outcome!

i have also been talking to people about which bank to move to...it same all over...they have just become money generating machines...soon you will not even go to the bank...everything will be done via the internet...we are 80 % there already how often do you visit the bank??

heres the joke it costs R25 to draw money at the teller...because you have to pay a teller a salary....a returned eft costs R115 because a machine does it ???

i had the electricity department (contractor) here on friday to disconnect my electricty because i owe them "R4600" for 2 months....$%^&*someone help me figue out a way to resolve these issues....like electricity hikes...rates hikes...next month petrol hike again (i dont get how the per barrel goes up $5we pay 40c it comes down $20 we get a 6c reduction only to be told 2 days later there wil be an increase)

i get the feeling i am being shafted....so my new years resolution...figue out ways to dodge whatever i can this year...

starting with water...anybody figued out how to bypass the meter meter? send me a pm.

            any good tax dodge tips???

electricity i have figued out already....next step will be digging a hole below my meter box putting in a tee piece to my workshop so it doesnt go through the meter.

those days of always being the **s who always pays...get the drivers license....registers with all the relevant bodies becuause it the right thing to do...have come to an end...i am tired of sitting in the lane with all the other people who sit and complain...i will be following the taxis to the front and push in....

another tip for those who own a boat...go to shongweni and buy a canoe license its half the price and it is the same colour as the boat disc.

another tip...for those who need thier youngsters to pass their drivers license...find out which driver training school has contacts in the right place...and pay the R1000 to the inspectors who do the test in cash...it will save you lots of money in driver training lessons and having to redo the test over and over.

                @ Murdock..... ....lol

You may be labelled a revolutionary leader soon.

Yes, it's revelation time. We have Man and his laws and God and His. In this time and as we move forwards, all will be expected to operate within a system, regulated, registered & counted.

The inherent corruption and imminent sustainability failure is appearing as cracks on a dam wall.

Many will spend their time plastering the cracks on the wall in an attempt to preserve what they have & were taught was right and wrong by the same men who made the laws. Giving unto Ceasar should however never include one's soul.

Others just plaster coz there's nothing else they know to do, or are content with the status quo and it's a paying job. This would be ok, until transactions become possible only by means of accepting the number. If they continue passed this point, they would be considered ignorant.

Others start packing and clear out knowing it will fail. Some scramble through the mess with haste & urgency realizing merely conforming is taking their livelihood.

Words like Financial Exodus, Revolution of Independance, Exile, Rage against The Machine, Religious fanatics are apt for those seeking alternate ways.

All will be expected to accept the number as they are to be logged in to buy and sell whether internet or other. One system, one dam wall.

Point is: I would like to warn the humans, who do seek to dodge/escape the inherent corruption that has befallen us, if caught breaking Man's laws, they will be persued and persecuted as they are breaking the laws of men, and many would turn against them as they are no longer attempting to plaster the wall, but laughing at those plastering it while they pack and get ready to leave.

Be carefull fellow humans. Things are getting messier by the day now. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, and seek viable refuge.

                Think carefully before acting.

A possible answer is to get an overseas bank account. Almost no fees payable. If everyone did that and boycotted the local banks?

                    Murdock:

Are you able to convert to a Debit Card system? In this way, you only spend your own money. There is no overdraft & no ridiculous penalties. Less for the banks to suck from you.

Personally I am not as concerned with the exhorbitant fees I pay the local banks...we all know charging R55 for a electronic reversal is pure nonsensical...or R100 for a card renewal fee is not inline with the price to produce it....

I am far more concerned about thier objective of limiting/controlling how we are to buy and sell items...Barclays (56% Nathan Rothschild) just brought out the "contactless card"...you just hold it in front of a scanner...no swiping anymore...people love it, but don't realize this is a precursor for "total contactless" buying and selling...your implant...game over...so yeah...the fee's are terrible aren't they?... (sarcasm)

Imagine the fees involved when you need to change implants from bank to bank... lol

Funtionality for various accounts with various institutions for various aspects of your life are all do-able on a singular chip, but by then you will have paid the ultimate price....

been havin fun with standard bank again...got a registered letter today to notify me that my monthly premium on my vehicle was to be increased by R80 a month... all because i have changed my payment date from the 1 st of the month to 7 th...i didnt know you pay more interest in this case...if i had known and let this be a warning when you purchase the vehicle...if you make the payment date the 1st and decided at a later stage to move the date forward to the 7 th as i have done...you will be charged an additional R70-80 interest per month for the balance of the period...ie in my case another 38 months an addtional R2000 +...as i was informed today it is not like other accounts which you have until the 7 th to pay...it is regarded as a late payment and you pay an admin fee to do this and interest is added every month links to the repo rate...ooops i just got shafted again.

another warning for those who are like me and dont bother with the silly things like checking up on things like my topup insurance which i pay to standard bank every month another R200 buck i have been paying to the bank for nothing because my retail value is more than the outstanding value ie...the insurance will pay out R16000 more than what i still owe on the bank on the vehicle...when i confronted the bank about this they said it is not their responsibilty to update the retail value of the vehicle and therefore will keep deducting it until the vehicle is paid off.

so i contacted my insurance compay to find they have not reduced the value of the vehicle yet either so i am still paying insurance premium on the purchase price of the vehicle.

so do yourself a favour and check up on allthese things and make a note in your diary to check the value of your vehicle household contents etc to see if they have reduce in value or increased for that matter otherwise when you put in a claim they will only pay out the percentage your house is under insured...beware of this i have had customers get nailed with this one...last one the kitchen burnt to the ground and the insurance company foound the value of the contents where a lot more than they wher einsured for so they ended up only getting paid out 60% of their claim.
