Herewith the Electrical tariffs as published by RLM :
There is the same block system in place for domestic consumers in the city and rural.
These blocks function from the 1 st day of the month till the last day and then resets again.
Prices indicated are per Kwh.
1 st Block 0 - 50 kwh R 0.66 exc R 0.752 inc
2 nd Block 51 - 350 kwh R 0.82 exc R 0.935 inc
3 rd Block 351 - 600 kwh R 0.94 exc R 1.072 inc
4 th Block 601kwh and above R 1.12 exc R 1.277 inc
For businesses..........a flat rate of R 1.1103/ kwh exc
So in effect this means that if you should buy 1000 kwh for domestic use the calculation would be as follows:
First 50 kwh R 33.00
Second 300 kwh R 246.00
Third 249 kwh R 234.06
Fourth 401 kwh R 449.12
Sub Total R 962.18
VAT R 134.70
Service charge R 0.80
Total R1061.68
