The AUS-iot automated meter reading system allows property administrators to manage all their properties remotely, regardless of location. Time spent reading meters (water as well as electricity) is wasteful and costly. It often requires travel and always takes up time. metering periods are not equal as not all the meters can be read simultaneously, especially if they are spread over a vast area.

Property administrators can now read meters on sites under their management from a remote location, like the safety and comfort of their own offices. As all the data is collected and stored simultaneously, data analysis and comparisons can be made. By establishing trends, better forward planning and budgeting is possible. The system also records minimum flows, so that leaks and bursts can be detected immediately. This alone may save thousands of Rands.

The Manager has access to a dashboard with a list of all the sites under management and each site has sub-folders with their meters. The tenants get a cell phone app to access their own meter only. Consumption figures and graphs are displayed.
