Thanks for the offer, but as you are aware the price is R1000000.00, not R10000.00, I suggest you meditate on it further.

    Chapter 1

    Death

An Oracle once said " Everything that has a begining, has an ending "

I spoke to friends of mine and informed them that I was planning on writing a second book, and the first chapter would be about death, they responded with the usual you cant do that. My thinking was that life begins in death, it is by the death of something, that others live. The first source of life, oxygen is a most dangerous gas, it gives us life, but slowly kills us too.

As Zimbabweans we are no strangers to death, in my short life I have buried 3 brothers, my mum, my dad, my grandmother, and many others in my extended family (R.I.P).

We all have this, great fear of death, when the cancer(greed) that affects Zimbabwe was first diagnosed, most of its citzens, in the most cowardly fashion, packed their bags and headed west, they loved Zimbabwe much, but not enough to fight for its healing, not enough to nurse it back to life. With each plane load, each car load, and each footstep in the great exodus from death, of a beloved country, another nail, was put into the coffin, of a once beautiful nation.

And the word on the street is that Zimbabwe is getting better, through some kind of fake unity and US dollar chemo, and the exodians looking from afar, start birthing thoughts of returning home, not realising that the home, they have in their minds, is only a memory of what Zim used to be. Zim is not healing, infact it edges, ever closer to its final demise, what will emerge from the worms of its death, is a future not yet carved, in the fortune teller's tea leaves.

It is estimated at least 5 million cowards, left the country Zimbabwe, for the greener grass, on the other side, but never a word of the over 3 million, that returned to dust or ashes as result of those that sit around the fires of greed, warming their huge fully bellies, while wiping meaty grease, from wide smiling mouths.

A friend of mine was telling me, a story of a man, that died on a cross, to free the world from sin, but unknown to the man, his unselfish act, only meant, that people would be given life, so that they can continue in their sins. Who are you? to call us cowards, we left Germany to avoid Hitler's gas roomsof death. I want to argue and say that heaven and hell are places on this earth, existing in our lifes, but nothing will come of that, because death brings pain to us all.

I lift the carpet and look around to make sure, no one is looking, and then quickly but incompletly, sweep this first chapter under the carpet.

Then the words of the Architect come to mind, " hope that quint-essential human delusion both the source of our greatest strength and our utter weakness "

Positive people have a positive influence on their environment. Often when one meet with a positive person, you walk away feeling more positive. This is because you unconsciously mirror the positive person's actions and body language.

You smile when they smile. You watch the eyes and you see the warmth. You stop crossing your arms in front of your body and you start partaking in the conversation....

    Great blog. I'm happy!

I failed accounting at school because the teacher could not explain to me what all the books were for. His answer was to "shut up and pay attention". Needless to say I lost interest and rather bunked classes than to listen to his ramblings.

Today part of my job is to analyse financials and to assess and assist businesses. I will never be a book keeper, but I made an effort to understand financials after I left school. How can you run your own business if you do not understand the financial side of it?

Great blog, Vieome. I've used the"smile to feel happy" and "nod head to be pursuasive" to very good effect for many years. Great to find some more gems on how the body can lead the mind.

A John Lennon moment? When I first seen your blog post on our usual homepage, it said, ‘depression cure,’ I had a John Lennon moment! I figured, sure it says so, but when you go to that site, it may well do the opposite! You see in 1966, John Lennon went to the Indica Gallery, that is where he met Yoko for the first time. His first encounter with her was her passing him a card that said , ‘ breathe,’ It was however her ‘ceiling painting,’ that drew his attention. You were presented with a ladder and encouraged to climb up the ladder. At the top, there was a magnifying glass which you had to look through. In Lennon’s own words, ‘I thought I would get the message of F You, and I would have immediately left, but instead it said, ‘YES,’ and he decided to stay and well the rest is musical history….
