[Question] where to report phishing scams

I got an email from "SARS" today, with the following:

    Tax Refund Notification

After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity, we have determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of 3,482.50 ZAR. Please submit the tax refund request and allow 6-9 days in order to process it.

Click Here to submit you tax refund request

Note : A refund can be delayed a variety of reasons, for example submitting invalid records or applying after deadline.

    Yours Sincerely

    South African Revenue Service.

I have already reported this to SARS, Bluehost (where the website is hosted), Standard Bank, FNB, ABSA & NedBank.

But, I would like to know if there's some authority, somewhere, where we can report these to?

Well done on doing something about it, Softdux

I've wondered if there is a concerted international effort somewhere too. It wouldn't be surprising if many of these come from a relatively small group of serial offenders.

heh, thanx Dave I'm just tired of paying for the bandwidth waisted on these emails, and the support calls we get from clients "who can't acces the bank's website", after following links in these emails.

But, in this case bluehost has taken action against the website owner. Both FNB & ABSA also responded to the email and says they'll take steps against the purpetrators. I havn't heard from NedBank or Standard Bank yet.....

This is the problem with chasing down the domain or hosting - these guys just move on. But at least it's something.

Softdux, what's the easiest way to track down and get a message to the hosting provider in these situations?
