    gas stove connection

I bought a floor standing gas stove, connected the hose to the 9 kg bottle directly with the same standard hose and valve used for my 2 plate stove. The bottle is next to the stove.

There is a problem with the oven now the agent for the stove has indicated that they cannot repair the stove under warranty because i dont have a certificate of compliance for the installation.

Do i need a certificate if the bottle i inside next to the stove?

Do i need a certificate every 3 months when i change the bottle?

If i toss the stove and go back to my 2 plate, do i need a certificate?

If i use a gas appliance like a free standing gas heater which i see many at peoples house, do you need a certificate.

I am sure there are many people out there wanting answers to these question. Is there a website i can get answers or is there someone here suitably qualified to answer these questions.

Why not phone home affairs, ask for someone that is free or has time for a pleasant discussion, and ask them?

What does Home Affairs (passports, ID's) has to do with gas stoves? Dealing with Home Affairs is never pleasant either.

Someone told me that the plastic/copper pipe must be replaced every 2 years and regulator replaced every 5 years

Is there any truth in that I fail to see the logic and never saw it happening either.
