Completed Section 28 Trade Test, Please Suggest The Next Best Step

Hi All, so glad a found a whole thread full smart sparkies Could you please assist. The husband completed his Section 28 Trade Test at one of these "fly-by-night" training centers ha ha ha, after working in the industry for 6 years (Medium and High Voltage) so he does know what he is doing, he told me in the afternoons after class how shocked he was regarding the caliber of people that was doing their trade as well as the training facilitators. Anyway my question now is, is his trade test N3 or N4 and if its either one, where or how should he go and do the following N? Or does he now go and do his electrical engineering? Basically what can he now do to better his qualification? What do you guys suggest is the next best step? Thank you in Advance Regards Anri

a trade test is a practical exam. The N courses are theory. you need both to become a qualified installation electrician. if you have matric with maths and science, you can start higher than N1 . i started at N4 after matric, however i would advise starting at N3. keep in mind i did mine 30 years ago so im not sure what has changed since then.
