    BBDO website, do you like?

I REALLY have to share this website with you guys, lets just say, I am still picking up my jaw from my desk. This isn't my website but it certainly deserves a mention.

I would like to know what you guys think of this master piece?

Oh yes, please do it with sound, for that added effectiveness...

Well it doesn't run at all in Opera. In FF it worked find. It's certainly different, I didn't dislike it but I'm glad I'm running fast ADSL, I can imagine it would be painful on entry level packages. I like the way you can compose your own horror movie music if you're nifty with the old mouse

Tried loading it in FF on my 384 line, after about 20-30 seconds it froze on 14% and wouldn't refresh the page at all. Flash websites are generally cool to look at but rather impractical.

The main reason I mentioned this website is this. It is in many ways the best practical example of how a website SHOULD NOT be designed. Once you get into understanding the concept you realize that a lot of effort went into the design of it, but from all basic online design standards perspective this site fails. The reason I was shocked is that this is not a dingy toy company, why on earth would they sign off on such a site?

Loads to 43% on IE 8 and then freezes. Yep, I hope they did not have to pay for it !

The first thing I considered was the massive amount of work that would be involved and the complexity. I'm guessing the the cause of such a website is every advertising agencies need to be different.

Things I learned about setting up a website when I was a 'Warrior'
    1. Set it up to load really fast, like a few seconds.
    2. Put just enough facts with sufficient hooks to keep interest on your landing page, you have a maximum of 15 seconds or less to grab someones attention.

I clicked out of this site after 20 seconds which proves my point.
