When I read your link they said
As of 1 February 2011 persons who obtain driving licences for a code C, C1, EC or EC1 driving licence will not be allowed to drive a motor vehicle that requires a code B or code EB licence (in old terms – a person with a code 10, 11, 13 or 14 licence cannot drive a vehicle for which you need a code 08 licence). This will only apply to new licence holders.

As per when the new driving licence deal was raised here earlier, my concern is the delay in getting tested is bad enough already.

What was your experience, Meat? Did you have to wait long between booking and actually taking the test?

    Thanks guys for the reply

    My Experience was as follows:

2 years ago i got my learners license .( Late 2008)

I failed this the first time , the second time i passed its about (R300) in total

The next year i when for my drivers licence C1 (Code 10) . I paid for 4 lessons

by SWD Driving school and i fail. (R700) Failed due to Obsevations(2009)

But thy helped me greatly . Passing your drivers wont happen without these lessons

When i gone to make my appointment for Drivers Licence , it took about 4 to 5 moths before the test happens

Then i went for the second time to Test in August i think and the schedule me to drive the 25 November 2010 (This is in Mossel Bay)

    I bought 6 Lessons (R 1300) and i finally passed

    Thank you SWD

I lost 104/120 Point on the road , mostly looking in mirrors before gearshift

Op die baan 4/20 punte verloor

    Dan pass jy

    Grz

It is just such a relief when your kids get their licence. The way the whole system works makes it so easy for bribes. Do the parties in power care NO! I wonder what Cape Town is like under the DA
