Agree with ChrisNG53--arbitration is the way to go.Unfortunately there is no agreement that an arbitrator be appointed in the event of a dispute.Nor is there any likelihood that the other party would be coerced into getting around the table so to speak.
With this in mind a legal intervention is the way to go. It could well happen that sometime during that process that the other party may agree to arbitration.

    Thank you, everyone!

I appreciate the sound advice I have been given, and have indeed sought out a mediator, whom we both trust as an impartial and positive mentor to us in the past. I do believe that we all stand to gain if neither of us tries to 'hold on' to everything... Booker has extended an invitation to my ex-partner to participate in an entirely different arena of the project that has no overlap whatsoever with my input, and in which my ex-partner is highly skilled. The ball is now in his court, and given his serious financial situation, I believe he will see the value of having a piece of the pie, in an honourable and creditable way, without the need to muscle in on 'my' part. As we will not have to work together, this may be a viable solution for all concerned.

Sounds like there's light at the end of the tunnel or at least more than when you started the thread.

    Good luck.
