    SPAM

Is it not amazing how much spam one gets lately !

Would you say it is on the increase or not ?

I have checked over the last week or so and +- 80% of all messages are spam.
One would imagine that if the spammers ( and scammers for that matter ) get no response they would eventually give up, but no, they even seem to increase their efforts to jam your inbox with cr-p.
Even running a spam trapper on my mail server I still get hundreds coming through to my inbox. I run a nifty ( need I say free ) program Spamihilator 0.9.9.53 http://www.google.co.za/url?sa=t&sou...eaOYKQ&cad=rja on my PC which at least puts the spam into an organized space where you can deal with it at your leisure, but this still turns out to be a job.

I suppose this comes as part-and-parcel with the technology.

    Hi Martin,

Which ISP are you with? I'm with imaginet and I get almost no spam. Maybe 1 per month. Perhaps you need to switch?

A suggestion would be to make it your ISP's problem. They should have decent filters in place after all. You could collect some stats here on other ISPs and subtly suggest to your ISP that you will switch if they don't fix the problem.
