Bruise from pre-school: Defensive & abusive head

I am sure we are all well familiar about the crime in South Africa. So I cannot mention anything new under the sun, right?
I heard of a case where a four-year old returned home from a private pre-school in a very wealthy neighbourhood and it seemed like just another day. The parents then discovered that evening that the little one had a big bruise on the upper arm. The little was quite clear who inflicted the bruise and it was not a kid. Took it up with the head of the school who was at first extremely defensive and thereafter brutally abusive in emails to the parents. The parents removed the kid from the school immediately and into a new school.
    What came to mind:
    • The blatant disregard from the head of the school to acknowledge the issue
    • Abusive behaviour towards the parents
    • No commitment from the head of the school to resolve the situation
    • Arrogant attitude “pay and B...off”

What do parents pay for private pre-school services or lack thereof these days? A minimum of R2300.00 per month for “half-day”
Sadly, the parents still do not know why it happened, and they will never know. They realised that their only redress was to vote with their feet.
How does RSA protect its babies and pre-schoolers against these?

The whisper channel is a powerful thing. It's how school reputations are made and broken.

This is not the first time for something like this to happen. There is a preschool that “hit” children and say it is discipline. Well I happen to know the little girl’s mother and she noticed her child had absolute fear for the so called teacher and yes she was excessively “abusive”.

The mother took her child out of the school that same day.

A second case then came forwards and it was this case that drew my attention. A young boy lost all control over his body urinated himself when he saw this women “so called teacher” and the mother then asked outright “what did you do to him?” That question was never answered. Until the mother of the young boy pressed charges... Photos was taken of the arms and legs and presented as evidence.

She got a heavy fine and basically a slap on the wrist “lost her home care business” However the story took a twist. Other children came forth with horrible nearly unbelievable stories of blatant abuse by this woman. She moved from our aria beginning 2008.

My advice is to go to the school unannounced and see for yourself what is happening. Money is nothing compared to a child’s mental and physical health. And if you know of an abusive teacher just go to the police. The police do not tolerate abusive behaviour towards children.

    Say no more.
What is interesting is when a kid arrives at school with bruises, the teacher is obliged to contact the authorities. But when a kid returns home with bruises, the head of the school will be extremely defensive.
Well the parents vowed "Sandton justice".

I'm with you Tec0.....I will beat the living p&55 out of that head master, continuously for hours, leave his broken, frail body in the doorway by reception and instruct the secretary that if he files a complaint, I file a complaint. i'll worry about the consequences later....nobody messes with my child!!!!!!!

Maybe it's when you throw the party of the year and invite everybody who is anybody except the people you want to burn. Then you spend the whole evening sowing subtle propoganda about your target during the idle chit-chat of the evening, and let the rumour mill do the rest.

Or maybe it's about feeding the hair salon rumour mill...

Don't know for sure. I don't live in Sandton. Maybe ask Julius Malema

There was also that case in PMB where the owner accidentally ran a 1 year old over with her car.
How on earth do you get that right? or wrong...
