Calling all Cape Tonians....................

Every year this group help collect boxes filled with goodies for kids in underprivileged communities. Kids range from 1- 12 years of age. Be a part of it this year!

Here's what you need to do:

Send an e-mail to and request the name of a child [or more than one!] to sponsor. Please specify age and gender and we will try and match you to a child that most closely meets that profile on our list [and there are hundreds, so we'll find one ;]

Get a shoe box. Fill it up with goodies! Wrap it in bright festive paper, add the name of the child you are sponsoring, a R5 coin [towards distribution costs, if you can] and drop it off! Drop off points across Cape Town - Pinelands, Kenilworth, Claremont, Hout Bay, Green Point, City Bowl, Plumstead and Goodwood- mail me for drop off point information!

Filler ideas:
Clothing, toiletries, books, coloring in books, crayons, soft toys, water paints, stationery, [lots of these kids go to schools that have very poor facilities, forget about pens and paper!], some sweets, chips, a juice.

Please make sure the contents are age appropriate and please DO NOT include toy guns, other toy weapons, glue or bubble gum!

We'd like to get all of the boxes in asap or by latest 20 November 2008. We will sort and start to distribute the boxes between 28 November and 8 December - you're welcome to be a part of the packing and transporting if you like!
